Gore Verbinski’s new project along Johnny Depp, The Lone Ranger, finally finished production this week after four months. Several photos from the last week of filming have been released online, and we can tell it’s going to be another action packed feature from the director of films such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Rango.
Some of the pictures alternate between Depp and his stunt double, and it shows that part of the presumed $250 Million budget for the film is going into highly intricate sets and effects.

What did you think of these? Will this film be another Depp-Verbinski mega-hit?
The pictures look really cool, but I’m just not sure about this one. I seriously went off the Pirates of the Caribbean films (not that I was too much of a fan of the first, I’m sorry!) and Depp looks a little too much like Jack Sparrow in these and others I’ve seen. Still, I’ll try and keep an open mind. Depp hasn’t let me down since Dark Shadows so I have my fingers firmly crossed! What do you think of them?
From all the Verbinski-Depp collaborations my favorite is actually Rango, such a unique film, very funny and so interesting looking due to its character design. Depp as Sparrow has become such an icon that many people have a hard time setting him apart from it. I actually find him to be very versatile, just take a look at his older films like Edward Scissorhands or Benny and Joon.
